A MEANINGFUL BAYANIHAN FOR SDO BIÑAN CITY

SDO BIÑAN CITY launches its Brigada Eskwela Campaign video featuring SDO’s Schools Division Superintendent, Ma’am Edna Faura-Agustin. She emphasized the importance of “BAYANIHAN” on various initiatives of the division and schools. She expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming support of the parents, LGU, NGOs, private partners, and institutions to make LEARNING possible for the learners.

The video was even made more effective with the participation of select schools of Biñan City.

Dr. Leslie V. Denosta, Principal of Biñan City Senior High School – San Antonio Campus mentioned unity and volunteerism as contributory factors in making Brigada Eskwela successful. She acknowledged the efforts of the parents, community, and other stakeholders in making the school ready for the coming School Year 2021-2022. Ma’am Leonora Del Mundo, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, provided a glimpse of how they prepare for Brigada Eskwela. She mentioned various activities which focus on making the school resilient, safe, and eco-friendly. Project Panatag of BCSHS – San Antonio Campus aims to provide seminars and activities that focus on helping teaching and non-teaching personnel as well as learners’ mental health. Nurse Arnel Hicana added that Brigada Eskwela serves as a reminder for everyone to strictly observe health and safety protocols during pandemic. He reiterated the important dos and don’ts in our fight against COVID-19.

Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial National High School (JZGMNHS) through Sir Rowell G. Regalado, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator emphasized the importance of “pagtutulungan” of teachers, staff, student leaders, and parents in making the school a safe zone. Sir Marlon Paglingayen, DRRM Coordinator ensured that through the DRRM activities held virtually, JZGMNHS continues to be resilient even in this time of pandemic. the Supreme Student Government Adviser, Ma’am Arcelyne Grace Elegado, conducts meeting with her student leaders in ensuring students of JZGMNHS are doing well physically and mentally. She believed that SSG activities today shall focus on the mental well-being of students which serves as their contribution to the school’s advocacy of making learning happen.

Ma’am Rowena Bederico, Principal of Pagkakaisa Elementary School together with Sir Rodel Parco, Wellness Coordinator and Ma’am Arlene G. Caneja, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator emphasized the continuity of programs in their school as beneficial to the learners as well as to its teachers, parents and stakeholders. Brigada Pagbasa and Wellness activities are being implemented in Pagkakaisa ES as their campaign in improving and valuing education for their learners. They also believe that participation of learners, parents, partners, and school personnel in various DepEd activities will be beneficial and contributory to school in reaching its goals, vision, and mission.

The division continues to exert all efforts in helping every Biñanense learner reach his/her full potential. Because DepEd Biñan City believes on its mandate: sa Lungsod ng Biñan, EDUKASYON ay tunay na KAYAMANAN.
